Jamaican Reggae Star Gyptian Takes Over London At BBC Radio 1’s Hackney Weekend

GYPTIAN LONDON LIVE PERFORMANCE AT BBC RADIO HACKNEY WEEKEND




This past Sunday June 24, Reggae sensation Gyptian performed to thousands of screaming fans at BBC Radio 1’s Hackney Weekend held in East London.

Europe’s largest free music festival drew in an estimated crowd of 100,000 fans and featured acts including Jay-Z, Kanye West, MIA, Lana Del Rey, Jack White, Rihanna and NAS.

Nigerian rapper Ice Prince also joined Gyptian on stage to perform his remix ofMagician.“And looking at Gyppie’s performance it was really magic. Big Up Gyptian fi mashig down the place once again!!

Two days prior to his performance, Gyptian debuted his latest reggae song “Overtime,” off the juggling-riddim by the same name – Over Time Riddim – produced by Justus.




Reggae Gold out today June 26 and one of the four newly commissioned songs off the compilation.

“Overtime” is exclusively available on this year’s 20th Anniversary Edition of Reggae Gold 2012
