Vybz Kartel appeared yesterday before Senior RM Judith Pusey in the Half-Way Tree Resident Magistrate’s Court.
The Gaza Boss, whose real name is Adidja Palmer, is charged jointly with Portmore Empire artist Vanessa Saddler, more popularly known as ‘Gaza Slim’ and his associate Andre Henry also known as ‘Pim Pim’, of conspiracy to pervert the course of justice and attempting to pervert the course of justice. He was again remanded until May 8, when he will go to trial to answer to the charges.Yesterday it was the first time that all three accused were appearing before the court at the same time, because co-accused Pim Pim could not be located by the police.
Both Kartel’s co-accused are also to go on trial on May 8 and Pip Pim and Gaza Slim had their bails extended. Pim, however, had the condition of surrendering his travel documents removed, because his passport cannot be located. Kartel will appear again before the court for two murder charges and it looks like he will spend a few more months behind bars before once again knowing his legal fate. Also Addi will be before the court again on February 13 for those possession of ganja charges.
