Legendary Reggae Singer John Holt Dies In London

Reggae music fans Worldwide are mourning the death of legendary Jamaican Reggae artist John Holt, that passed away yesterday in a hospital in London.

Holt’s manager, Copeland Forbes, confirmed the news to the Jamaican Observer newspaper, saying the veteran reggae singer died at 2:40 am English time. 




While the  cause of death was not released, it was known  John Holt has been dealing with some serious health issues related to cancer for quite some time now, he already collapsed on stage during the One Love Reggae Concert in London, for which, this past June, the reggae singer had some surgery operation performed at the University Hospital of West Indies.

John Holt‘s career started when he was the lead singer of the Jamaican music band The Paragons, and after making a name for himself he wanted to start his solo career. He recorded some of the best and more popular reggae lovers songs and one of his biggest hits is the classic “Stick By Me”, which has been the biggest record in sales in Jamaica for the year 1972.
