Jamaican Dancehall Artists Popcaan And Blak Ryno Make Peace

popcaan blak ryno friends again october 2014

Some good news. Popcaan and Blak Ryno finally ended their long beef that escalated also into a physical fight among the two former Portmore Empire artists on Sting‘s stage in 2012.

Two years after, the two former Gaza artists that have been feuding since 2010, following Blak Ryno’s exit from the camp led by World Boss Adidja Vybz Kartel Palmer, are friends again.

Anyway their beef is now just history.

Blak Ryno was spotted at Popcaan’s recent album launch for “Where We Come From”, produced by Mixpak Records at the Triple Century Sports Bar and Grill.

“Big up Popcaan you done know album launch my little brother for life,”

Blak Ryno said to Onstage TV Crew. Ryno joined Poppi on stage during his performance. Watch video below.

That’s what dancehall needs more unity and hopefully the two now will remain friends and won’t argue again.

Both artists grew up under Vybz Kartel’s musical mentorship and recorded several songs together as part of Kartel’s imprinting Portmore Empire.

Black Ryno had a fall out with Kartel and his manager Corey Todd and went the two met into a crowded supermarket they got physical including their wifes.

Both Blak Ryno and Popcaan are part of the history of Kartel’s Empire and modern dancehall music so is nice to see them share the stage and not making it a boxing ring.
