Remember the old days of Street Vybz Rum? World Boss Vybz Kartel re-launches into the rum business after getting approval for his new rum venture “Gaza Vybz Rum.”
Currently there are no laws preventing Vybz Kartel to go after any business pursuits, so Kartel’s team obtained legal approval to launch the new Gaza Rum brand.
“Once he has the necessary licenses, it can be done because there is no law that disallows imprisoned persons from having business operations,” Clerk of the Court at the St Andrew Parish Court, Hansard Lawson, said.
Vybz Kartel representative, Jeffrey Hype, also confirmed that the new Vybz Kartel Gaza Rum will be hitting the local markets very soon and will also be launching in other Caribbean territories including Trinidad.
“Now, the Gaza boss ah do it again, the rum new and improved,” Hype said. “The factory is based in Clarendon. We employ Jamaicans, providing means of employment for ghetto youths, and we know that this enterprise will be a successful one, so support the movement.”
LISTEN TO JEFFREY HYPE TALKING ABOUT VYBZ GAZA RUM
This is the second time that Vybz Kartel goes into the rum business. Street Vybz Rum shouted down in 2011 when Kartel and his business partner Corey Todd split and closed down Street Vybz Rum brand. Before that Kartel & Todd launched a condom business, and just before his arrest in 2011 Kartel was about to launch his own skin line called Oh! & his own iphone app.
