Breaking News: Corey Todd Wife Shot Multiple Times In Kingston
Former Vybz Kartel’s manager and business partner Corey Todd’s wife Shemara Todd has been shot multiple times while driving her own vehicle this past Friday in Kingston, Jamaica.
Corey Todd’s wife Shamara is now hospitalized in critical condition after armed men on a motorcycle approached her and shot at her multiple times while on board of her Mercedes Benz.
Eyewitness told the local news that when she pulled up at the intersection between Molynes Road at Ken Hill Drive, a motorcycle pulled up suddenly and a man on the back started firing multiple shots to the vehicle, Shamara lost control of the vehicle and the car crushed against a wall.
Not new to shooting accidents, Corey Todd, an american citizen that emigrated to Jamaica after falling in love with the island, the music and the culture, has already experience gun violence when he was robbed at gun point few years ago outside his own club.
Corey Todd became a prominent figure in the Jamaican music scene when he joined Vybz Kartel in different business ventures from Street Vybz Rum to the Daggering condoms, both now out of production, and he has been also Vybz Kartel’s manager and booking agent.
In 2011, World Boss Vybz Kartel and Corey Todd started arguing and a big feud between the two erupted culminating in Corey’s interview on national TVwhere he expressed fear for his life over his fallout with the dancehall deejay.
Following Vybz Kartel’s incarceration Corey Todd and Addi made peace and are now still in good terms and there is a more recent times the two made peace again, Todd explained he started writing to Vybz Kartel and the two started talking again and he is confident Vybz Kartel will come out a road. Going back to Corey’s wife while cops are on the scene and actively investigating the shooting, so far there’s no lead and it’s hard to predict if she will improve.
