Iconic Jamaican dancehall superstar Vybz Kartel is finally free after more than 13 years behind bars. He was set free on July 31st 2024, an historical date for the whole Gaza Nation!

After a victorious appeal, thanks to his lawyer Isat Buchanan, Vybz Kartel is out a road and enjoying his life and time and the many achievements in his prolific career.

Since his release Kartel dropped few official music videos, where he finally appears in person;  he dropped First Week Out mixtape and announced his first live concert in more than 13 years dubbed Freedom Street. He also spent quality time with his family, fiancee, friends, and took leisure and business trips to Panama and Trinidad. 

Kartel has been managing his business ventures, including his clothing line, the launch of his Str8 Vybz Rum Collection,  and much more in such little time since he was freed. How does he do it?

His biggest career achievement to date is the recent nomination in the category Best Reggae Albums of 2024 for his 8 track EP Party With Me earned by the Grammy Recording Academy. This is the biggest nod to an artist’s career and Kartel sure deserves this official worldwide acknowledgement.

 


His worldwide fans, the Gaza Nation,  can’t contain the joy of seeing their idol out a road. It’s been a long time. Since his release Kartel also appeared in several interviews, where not a stone was left unturned.

 

It’a big thing to see World Boss finally out a road and bashing in the well deserved success he has built out of hard work, passion, dedication, skills and talent, and to see him win despite all the previous sets back.

As we wrote and predicted for years in various posts published all over this website, Vybz Kartel is finally free and he is larger than life, trending, viral, after just few months since his release. One thing for sure he is changed for the better but kept his unmatched sense of humor that keeps brighting up the day of whoever crosses path with the One Don of Dancehall Music.
