Beenie Man, The Doctor, real name Anthony Moses Davis, kind of lost his traction in dancehall music with the rise of Vybz Kartel, the two have long dated friendship and Beenie Man always proclaimed himself as part of Gaza.
The Jamaican superstar sat down with BET for an interview where he express his feelings about Vybz Kartel’s incarceration.
Beenie Man express that he doesn’t think is the police profiling the artists but more the Jamaican Government because him and other Dancehall/ Reggae stars like Vybz Kartel came from nothing and so they have to be very careful on how they move, now that they are known and respected.
Beenie Man says Vybz Kartel‘s sentence hurts to a personal level and professional level too and elaborates more on it with his own words and feelings about the whole arrest and on Kartel missing from the scenes for so long.
