Have you been watching this year BET Awards? There was some sweet Jamaican music that materialized onstage after a commercial break: Dawn Penn, Chaka Demus & Pliers, Beenie Man, and Elephant Man appeared at the Nokia Awards in Los Angeles on Sunday night.

American/ Trinidadian rapper Nicki Minaj, who was sitting front row, went wild when Beenie Man took the stage.

Dawn Penn enchanted the VIP crowd with her classic single “No No No,” before Chaka Demus & Pliers came in with “Murder She Wrote.” Beenie Man stepped onto the stage with a medley of “Sim Simma” and “Girls Dem Sugar” while Elephant Man closed out the surprise reggae segment with a super hype and vibrant live performance.
