LATEST NEWS ON JAMAICAN REGGAE ARTIST BUJU BANTON & HIS TRIAL

Today Buju Banton was found guilty on three charges by a 12 member panel of jurors.

They decided he’s guilty of conspiracy ,possession of a firearm and using wires to facilitate a drug trafficking offense. He was found Not Guilty of attempted possession with the intent to distribute cocaine.

Buju, real name Markus Myrie, hugged his lawyer, David Markus, when the verdict was read, while a lot of his supporters left the courtroom in tears.

His bail has been revoked and he’s actually detained awaiting sentence.

His lawyer, has declared his intention to appeal the guilty verdict that was handed down in Sam Gibbons Federal Court, Tampa, Florida, today.
