Dancehall Queen Spice Returns To Social Media And Clears The Air

Jamaican baddest female, dancehall artist and Queen Spice, real name Grace Hamilton, finally returned to social media on November 9, to share with her millions of world wide fans that she is feeling better.

The Queen of dancehall has confirmed that she suffered a ruptured hernia and sepsis in the past weeks, without getting too much into medical details she released a statement to her fans and followers.

The statement has been shared to her official Instagram account this past Wednesday, and Spice confirmed that she has been rushed to the hospital for emergency surgery.

“Thank you Jesus for saving my life. 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾 Hey Besties I’m in a better space today to properly update you on my current health situation,” she wrote.

“I suffered a damage hernia a few days ago that sent my body into sepsis, as a result I was rushed to the hospital for immediate surgery.”

She addressed in a line all the rumors that have been circulating in the past weeks : that she was in a coma and had suffered a heart attack (which were debunked by her agent), following cosmetic enhancement surgery in the Dominican Republic.

“As you know I’ve been off Social Media for a while to rest mentally, so little did I know that during my medical scare it was already been said that I had a heart attack, I was in a Coma, and I also died 🤷🏾‍♀️but none of that is true,” she wrote.

Adding thanks to her fans for “all the prayers and concerns” they had sincerely shared.

“Please take great care of yourself, eat, live, love laugh, like it’s your last day, I LOVE YOU ALL SO SO MUCH 💙💙💙💙💙💙💙,” she wrote.

The Dancehall diva joked that based on her current condition there would be “no more jumping off speaker 🔊 boxes” which was a sort of Spice’s signature during her live stage’s routine.

Spice also used the occasion to apologize to party promoters whose shows will now be postponed to facilitate her recovery.

“To all the promoters that has a confirmed booking with me please accept my humble apology,” Spice said.

Spice is currently feeling better and left Jamaica toward the US where she will continue her full recovery.
