Sting 29 2012, the biggest Reggae show on Earth, is just few days away and SevensClash visited the offices of Isaiah Laing, the infamous bad boy policeman who originated the annual Boxing Day show Sting,(December 26), which is billed as, “The Greatest One-Night Reggae Show on Earth.”
SevenClash got close and personal with bad boy Mr Laing, Sting Promoter, uncovering details of the man past, that not everybody is familiar with.
From his first big dance — the now-classic Spanish Town Prison Oval sound clash between Junjo Lawes’ set, Volcano Hi-Power and the People’s Choice sound system, to the Four Sound Clash (King Jammy’s, Black Scorpio, Youth Promotion International and Black Star) that he kept at Cinema II in the New Kingston Entertainment Centre, to when he began planning a one-night live music showcase to be held the day after Christmas, that is now the legendary Sting show, that reached the 29th edition, all it’s covered and more!
