Jamaican recording artist Koffee, real name Mikayla Simpson, made history becoming the youngest solo act and the one & only female artist to ever win a Grammy for Best Reggae Album.
Koffee brought home her first Grammy for the Best Reggae Album‘s category for her “Rapture” EP, available for free streaming below. The young reggae superstar, that is just 19-year-old, is the youngest Jamaican and the only woman ever to win a Grammy.
Koffee is a young artist but she has been already making a splash into the music scene since her debut in to the music scene, just a couple of years ago, when she dropped her min lead single, “Toast,” that dates back to November 2018.
“Toast” has been an unstoppable smashing hit all over the world, doing very good in USA and Europe, making Koffee a superstar overnight, with the music video passing 99 million views, watch it below.

Before winning the Grammy for Best Reggae Album, Koffee won the hearts of several celebrities, starting with former President of the United States – Barack Obama that favorite her song in his 2019 summer playlists, and by then Koffee getting her songs featured on social media, from stars like Rihanna, Lil Uzi Vert and many more.
Koffee, a favorite since her nomination for the GRAMMY went public, won also with her calm approach, grace and humbleness When she heard her name announced on the Recording Academy’s stage, her big smile lighted up the Staples center.
After accepting the prestigious award, the reggae star gave her speech and thanked all the producers who made her album possible, as well as all the other nominees for setting the path.
