Presenting for the first time on UK soil at Stephen Friedman Gallery his “The World Stage: Jamaica” exhibition that features new paintings in a Neo-Renaissance approach, this time considering everyday Jamaican men and women.

Borrowing poses from 17th and 18th century British portraiture, Wiley infuses a necessarily Jamaican swatch of hues within the collection, and purposefully confusing popular notions of heroism.
Further, the exhibition will include a video summary of Wiley’s findings during observances in both London and Jamaica.
