Jamaica’s dancehall reggae star Konshens drops off three new videos today from his freshly-released sophomore album, It Feel Good.
Best known for his dancehall anthems, Konshens flexes his diversity with “Big Belly,” a traphall (dancehall x trap) collaboration with Rick Ross and Jamaican maestro Rvssian. The “Big Belly” video, which premiered via THE FADER, was shot between Kingston and Konshens’ second home of Miami, and reflects the lifestyle of immigrant youth who “come from zero and try to make zeros.”

“Bassline” is classic Konshens — A straight-up dancehall anthem fi di gyal dem. The video, premiered on VIBE.com, was shot at Jamaica’s Bend Down Market by RD Studios, capturing the authentic grit of the island’s homegrown music genre.

“In My Sleep,” also produced by Rvssian and featuring up-and-coming Belizean rapper King Kosa, is another trap x dancehall fusion. The video, directed by Fernando Lugo, is Konshens’ most conceptual clip to date, a surreal sequence reflecting the song’s almost dream-like quality.
