This was an especially touchy emoment for the Palmers and all the Gaza Nation fans, since Vybz Kartel was never granted permission to perform in England, where he has a huge fan base.
Just few days before his arrest, Adidja was not granted a United Kingdom visa by the UK High Commission, when he applied in 2011.
Likkle Vybz showed up at the event at Ladbrooke Hotel in Birminghan accompanied other Jamaican artists like 10Tik, Candy Price, Kyodi, and Nvasion, that also were part of the event.
Once on stage Likkle Vybz was greeted by screaming fans, excited to see Vybz Kartel’s own son on a UK’s stage. The first thing Likkle Vybz said once he had the mic in his hands was “Fully Gaza” & “Free World Boss!!” to which the crowd responded echoing back. He then went straight into his showcase performing his single “Fully Gaza”, then he performed his latest smashing single feat Vybz Kartel for “Daddy Was A Pilot”, “Magneato” & “Give Thanx”.
While in London Likkle Vybz stopped also at Seani B at BBC 1Extra! for some deep conversation with the host and some freestyle time!
Likkle Vybz talks of how music is in his genes, his father ‘s legacy, his brother, and how, since he was a little kid he had a little keyboard, when asked if he felt the family’s pressure regarding his music career’s he keeps it real and admit there was pressure.
Likkle Vybz talks about the artist he listened to growing up, mentioning Michael Jackson, Vybz Kartel, Bob Marlay and Tupac, adding he prefers him to Biggie Smalls.

Vybz Kartel went for a mini tour in Europe with Popcaan in 2010, read the full story here, in that occasion he performed at Amsterdam Reggae Festival in the Netherlands, were he was interviewed by Robbo Ranks BBC 1Extra, watch his interview here, then he performed to Crystal Club in Zurich, Switzerland, and Elyesse Montmarte in Paris, France.
That was a promotional mini tour to book bigger shows in the next year, when he was hoping to go perform also in UK. Kartel was already booked for the next year, he was supposed to go back to Europe in April 2011, then in June 2011, but the visa situation did not allow him to travel overseas anymore, and at the end of September 2011 he was arrested and has been behind bars since.
