Noisey announced the launch of a new series dedicated to Jamaican Culture and Dancehall Music called ‘Noisey Jamaica’.
Noisey went to Jamaica to explore the culture and the people behind Dancehall Music.
In this new original series, executive produced by Snoop Lion, will meet dancehall regulars, and dancehall legends.
Featuring Vybz Kartel, Shabba Ranks, Beenie Man, Popcaan, Tommy Lee, I-Octane, Spice, Tifa, Konshens, Lady Saw, Gaza Slim, Dre Skull.
Pretty much the most relevant and upcoming artists of the genre whom music passed long time ago the borders of their homeland Jamaica.
Being World Boss Vybz Kartel one of the most active and popular and relevant name of the genre, and given his arrest and incarceration, the mini series starts with the first episode entirely dedicated to Vybz Kartel, real name Adidja Palmer, and his Portmore Empire and the Gaza.
The series features ten episodes and will premiere starting Tuesday January 22, airing weekly from Noisey Youtube channel. Watch it below.
