Jamaican reggae dancehall artists Popcaan just concluded a blazing two-week tour of Europe with back-to-back performances that helped him gather new fans.
The Jamaican dancehall reggae artist already visited Europe toward the end of 2010 for a quick but very successful week promo tour with his mentor and Boss Vybz Kartel, real name Adidja Palmer, also known as Addi the Teacha.
While during his first European tour the main act was Vybz Kartel, this time Popcaan, real name Andre Sutherland, was the main headliner of the tour, that started in Lisbon, Portugal. From there the dancehall deejay travelled to Norway then Sweden and ended his European trip in France.
“It was overwhelming to see the crowd at the venues, they sing along and really enjoy the music. The response is great for old and new hits, and even very new songs like Fry Yiy and When Mi Party,” he said.
Popcaan loved Paris. About being in the French capital for the first time, he said:
“It was a real mix of French fans and French-Caribbean fans, and the line after the show for photos was really long. Also, in Paris, I got a chance to see the Eiffel Tower and vibe at a street party,” he explained.
