Jamaica-born American rapper Safaree Samuels, the ex-boyfriend of platinum selling-rapper Nicki Minaj, has released a song called “Computers”, in which he pays homage to incarcerated dancehall artist Vybz Kartel.
The single “Computers” will be featured on Safaree’s debut mixtape called “It Is What It Is” to be released soon.
In the single Safaree deejays lines from Vybz Kartel’s old classic Brooklyn Anthem, a legendary song that describes the BK hustling and lifestyle, and has been featured on Kartel‘s album “Most Wanted” that came out in May 2009, another classic from Addi.

The promotional photos for the single showed Safaree advocating for Vybz Kartel’s freedom, when along with members of his team he has been wearing black t-shirts with the printed image of ‘Free Vybz Kartel’.
Also mentioned on the ‘Free Vybz Kartel’s shirts, are incarcerated rappers Bobby Shmurda, who he also of Jamaican origin and is still currently incarcerated.

I just spent some money on some Bobby t-shirts, Rowdy and Vybz Kartel free di man dem. You can’t block blessings and you can’t hide talent life is too short, live it to the fullest. Retaliation and all that will get you nowhere but dead or in jail,” Safaree posted on his Instagram.
