Vybz Kartel Latest News: Dancehall Star Transferred To St Catherine Adult Correctional Centre

Jamaican superstar Vybz Kartel, real name Adidja Palmer, has been transferred to St Catherine District Prison, in Spanish Town.

Vybz Kartel was currently housed at the General Penitentiary, but in the past days both him and his co-accused Kaira Jones have been moved again, switching place with Kartel, for some mysterious reason the authorities don ‘t want Kartel and Jones to be at the same prison .

Not too long ago a portion of St Catherine District Prison was deemed unsafe, so we hope by now they fixed the issues

While incarcerated, Kartel went from being initially housed to Horizon Centre, then transferred to GP and now, following the sudden transfer of another legendary Jamaican artist Ninja Man, he has finally been moved to St Catherine District Prison.

Ninja was relocated to GP following a video shared few days ago on social media, where Desmond Ballantine, Ninja Man real name, goes on a freestyle all dressed in white and smoking a blunt. Ninja Man received a super harsh sentence and, beside his age, will have to spend the rest of his life in jail, unless of an appeal with positive outcome.

Apparently it was because of Ninja Man’s relocation to GP that Vybz Kartel has been transferred back to St Catherine jail facility as authorities are saying they stepped up their efforts to stop illegal activities in the Jamaican prison system.

GP is located in Kingston, as Horizon, while District Prison is located on St Catherine. One of the reasons the artists were transferred are probably related to some of the existing tensions between Kartel and Ninjaman that authorities feared could breakout into violence in prison if the two Jamaican dancehall artists were left in the same structure. Shawn Storm and other inmates could be transferred too.

Vybz Kartel’s appeal trial will finally start in a couple of months, this upcoming July 2018 and World Boss and his legal team are focus on winning it, with a sentence of 35 years without parole it could be Kartel’s and co-accusedlast shot to their freedom.
