Vybz Kartel has been hospitalized in the past hours.
This is the third time during his long incarceration that the Jamaican dancehall star has been rushed to the hospital with a serious emergency and then brought back to prison.
Adidja Palmer, Vybz Kartel real name, was rushed to the hospital of the West Indies University on Sunday where he was admitted for serious but stable conditions.
Under an heavy armed police guard Kartel has been seen by doctors that performed a lot of different tests on him to go to the root of his illness.
As already happened back in June 2013 when Vybz Kartel complained about dealing with serious heavy chest pain, this time again the jailed dancehall artist complained about serious pain at his chest and the pain reached a point it was not possible to ignore it anymore.
In a second occasion in 2015 Vybz Kartel had to be transported from prison to the emergency room of the University of West Indies hospital for a mysterious illness that was later on labeled as a kidney’s infection.
Sources closed to the Gaza General are also waiting for the doctors test results to come back so the clarify the situation about what is exactly going on with Addi’s health, a question his lawyer Tavares -Finson was happy to answer when talking to the press, with revealing that Vybz Kartel has been dealing with a thyroid issue he has been having for some time but he is not in life danger.
A thing for sure the long detention with poor conditions in Jamaican prisons is not helping his health status. Reason more to let the man out a road or give him a new trial allowing him to go to house arrest while awaiting for a new trial to take place, so Addi can have the right to take care of his health.
Vybz Kartel is still awaiting for his appeal trial’s verdict and his legal team is still very optimistic about a positive outcome that should be coming in the next weeks.
