Vybz Kartel Shares Clip Of Throw Back Live Stage With Popcaan

Gaza Nation fans that follow World Boss Vybz Kartel’s on social media must have noticed a new post on World Boss’ official account on the gram, when this past Thursday night, on September 20, he shared a clip of himself performing live with Popcaan back in the days.

Vybz Kartel shared a video clip of them at a stage live show in Jamaica where Popcaan was called on stage by his mentor to perform his first ever dancehall hit song “No Ordinary Girl”. Kartel captioned the clip

“Throw Back Thursday me and Popcaan a f**k up [the place]”

Popcaan’s camp and fans also went on a frenzy congratulating both, asking for future music together and expressing their positive thoughts about this renew unity move in dancehall music within the former members of Portmore Empire.

Vybz Kartel has been incarcerated since the end of September 2011, at the time of his incarceration many artists already had left the Gaza camp: Gaza Kim, Merital Family, Jah Vinci, Black Ryno and the Empire was mainly formed by Vybz Kartel, Shawn Storm, that also got arrested and is still behind bars, Gaza Slim, Popcaan and Tommy Lee Sparta.

Following Kartel’s arrest Popcaan changed management shortly after and there were the rift between them two started, also fueled up by a lack of contact toward Kartel from Popcaan, real name Andre Sutherland, whom career started taking over when Addi got arrested.

After many years of rumors and statements Vybz Kartel soften down and shared a tribute to their music together, Popcaan success and top ranking career is also a proof of how up to the time Kartel has always been and how much talent he brought to the world.

Among the fans saluting unity in dancehall there are also a couple of people that wrote in the comments that Kartel has no control over what get posted in his social media accounts that are run by his producers and  business partners, and that he wants the account shut down. So take everything with a grain of salt until Vybz Kartel himself will be out a road and will be able to express his feelings on multiple topics, this one included.
