Jamaican dancehall artists Shenseea and Tommy Lee Sparta teamed up some time ago for a collaborative song together, titled Bridget’s & Desert (Pon Foot).
Produced by famed Jamaican music label Romeich Records in a team effort with Sparta’s Guzu Musiq, Bridget’s & Desert (Pon Foot) just debuted the offcial music video, that was directed & edited by popular RD Studios, based in Jamaica, one of the prominent names behind many top artists videos.
Shenseea and Sparta are giving their young dancehall followers clear directions in matter of fashion for men and women pon foot.
Bridget’s sandals for her and Desert Clarks for him. Cashing in a trend well established in Jamaica by the man the gave fame to both artists, Vybz Kartel, that signed Tommy Lee Sparta, real name Leroy Russell to his now disbanded Portmore Empire and made Shenseaa famous with the hit single ‘Loodi’.
Shenseea and Tommy Lee are polishing and brushing the most expensive brand of shoes and sandals in the islands and they can do that because Vybz Kartel did it first with Clarks actually making the famous UK shoe brand the was already popular in Jamaica, the biggest thing since.
In Bridget and Desert Pon Foot Shenseea can be seen with brace on her teeth another thing typical of Vybz Kartel that used to say he loved controversy so much that he was rocking braces even if he did not need them.
The music video for Bridget & Desert Pon Foot is well done and well polished and is a way for these youths to remark how much World Boss Vybz Kartel, the incarcerated one don of dancehall music, is still an inspiration for the new generation of Jamaican dancehall artists that 6 years after the Gaza General ‘s incarceration are able to make music inspired by a theme Kartel’s already trademarked with Clarks, and revisiting the theme in his and her shoes was the right thing to do, to give the song a likkle twist and originality.
