Did you know there are more than a millions people of Jamaican origins living in London? 

Imagine how gwan they must feel today, when, just a day before the 50th Anniversary of Jamaica Independence, two of their con nationals, won Gold Medals at the Olympics Games.

The 25-year old Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce won the women’s 100m at London 2012 and Lightning Bolt too!

Big up to the fastest man on earth, Mr Bolt, faster than light, that just stroked again getting the gold  medals on the Men’s 100-meter Final in London where he stormed to victory in 9.63, the second quickest in history and  also an Olympic record.

In the documentary Usain Bolt says “Vybz Kartel is my favorite artist” “He is a good lyricist. I listen to all his music. It is fun.”

Kartel has the same admiration back for the athlete. He said about Bolt

“It is a great feeling to know we share the same respect,”Usain Bolt is my favorite athlete and I have known him since high school.

We are two Jamaicans who in our respective fields both reach the heights of greatness, yet to be surpassed. It is a good comparison.”

It’s said Kartel hoped to travel to London to watch Bolt’s in action, but instead he remains locked at the Horizontal Detention Center for the alleged murders of  Barrington Burton and Clive Lizard Williams.

While Usain Bolt  went on in world vision, Kartel, that had his final trial dates for his murder charges set last week, will have to appear again before the court on October 29th, in relation to the case of Burton, and on Nov. 5 2012 for Williams .



Bolt’s love for Dancehall music is legendary in Jamaica and in Miami and the Olympic super champion lately admitted that toning down his lifestyle was necessary to ensure continued success.

There were claims that Bolt gave a shout-out to Kartel prior to the start of his 100 meters quarterfinals at the 2011 World Athletics Championships with the phrase “Gaza Mi Seh”.

Wondering if today, after the Olympic Games 100m Final he said Free World Boss!
