Latest news on Jamaican dancehall super star Vybz Kartel’s and co- accused trial.
Vybz Kartel and two of his co-accused today appeared in the Gun Court Division of the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate’s Court.
Vybz Kartel, real name Adidja Palmer, has been detained since the end of September 2011 and awaiting trial.
The trial was postponed again until next week Wednesday, at which time the case is expected to be transferred.
This trial is related to the second murder case against Vybz Kartel, and last news reports revealed is to be transferred to the Home Circuit Court, while the today trial for Jamaican reggae dancehall artist Kartel was about the alleged murder of St Catherine resident Barrington ‘Bossie’ Bryan.
Co – accused with Adidja Palmer are Nigel Thompson and Lenburgh McDonald. Vybz Kartel is already on a $3 million bail in relation to that charge.
The Gaza Boss and a group of other men will also appear in the Home Circuit Court this upcoming Friday in relation to the August 16, 2011 murder of Clive ‘Lizard’ Williams.

How does Mr Palmer gets justice when he is already tried and convicted by the media ? I reside in the United States and i must say i was not a fan of this young man, i did not even know who Vybz Kartel was. He cannot get a fair trail in Jamaica, he is confident he will be vendicated, but i am not so sure of that. the rights to a fair trail is essential in all countries respecting the rule of law. My heart breaks for this man, his trial is deemed unfair. Mr Palmer is this what you pay your lawyers for ? how can i speak directly to Mr Palmer ?
