Shaggy & Friends, the charity event that benefits Bustamante Children’s Hospital in Jamaica, is now at its third year.
The line up for this benefit concert will see the likes of Shaggy himself, Lauryn Hill, Eve, Half-Pint, Coco Tea, Maxi Priest, I-Octane, Gyptian, Mr Vegas, Wayne Marshall, Tami Chynn, Deniece Williams, Assassin and Romain Virgo sharing stage.
The Shaggy Make a Difference Foundation produces the annual Shaggy & Friends benefit concert, which also raises money for the Bustamante Hospital, which is the only Children’s hospital in the English-speaking Caribbean.
Jamaican superstar Shaggy, who is also the executive director of the foundation, said “Not every superhero wears a cape you know. People can donate to a fantastic cause and help save the lives of the countless children that need services at the Bustamante Children’s Hospital”.
Set for Saturday January 7, the event was initially scheduled for the end of December but it’s been then postponed for the recent elections that just took place in Jamaica.
Ne-Yo, that was also in the line up for this year event, had to cancel his appearance after the concert was remanded. The show will be held on the grounds of Jamaica House. Persons wishing to donate to The Shaggy Make A Difference Foundation can now do so via text message, sending a text to Digicel 488-4175 in Jamaica.
