Breaking News Jamaican Dancehall Star Mavado Wanted By Police Allegedly Already Fled Jamaica

Mavado-wanted by police fled Jamaica june 2018

Jamaican dancehall superstar Mavado, also known as Gully God, real name David Brooks, survived an armed attack in his Cassava Piece, Kingston this past weekend.

Within few hours following the shooting incident that involved Mavado, a man, was shot and killed in Constant Spring.

Ian Robinson, aka Gaza Man, of Cassava Piece, was gunned down a short while after a group of men shot at Mavado.

Around 9 PM this past Saturday, a white Nissan wagon stopped in proximity of Constant Spring Market and one man from the vehicle opened fire at Robinson, that  died on the scene from his injuries.

Mavado’s native Cassava Piece has been tense since last weekend’s shooting incident involving the dancehall star, who is a popular figure in his community.

Since the shooting involving Mavado already two people died in the Cassava Piece St Andrew area.

Reports are coming in hot on the topic, with the Jamaican Police saying they are detaining  several members of Mavado’s family including Mavado’s 16 year-old own son and nephew, recording Jamaican artist Chase Cross.

“We are calling on the entertainer to visit the police station as we seek to ask him a number of questions in relation to a number of developments in the Cassava Piece area,” a senior officer from the Constant Spring police division told news outlets on Tuesday evening.

Further more at the Jamaican police are also saying they are pretty sure that as for now Gully God left the island.

“We have confirmed that Mavado has left the island, but we have taken his 16 year-old son into custody. Mavado’s nephew, Chase Cross, is also in custody as well as his brother and his cousin. They will all be questioned regarding crimes committed in the area,”

What is known so far, and it’s not even sure, is that the Gully side deejay was shot following a dispute with another man in his community around 11:30 Am on Saturday.

Apparently Gully God Mavado went to Cassava to settle a dispute between his son and another man, but instead of making peace the two men got into a heated argument which ended with Mavado punching the other man in the face.

At the point the same man left the scene came back shortly later on with two armed men who fired shots at Mavado.

The singer managed to escape the rain of bullets flying toward his direction and rushed to the Constant Spring police station where he filed a report.

One man has being detained since but no further details are available at the moment.

Following the incident Mavado took it to social medias posting a photo of himself right after the facts without a shirt to prove he was not armed and writing about rumors, dismissing what happened and saying he loves his people in Cassava and blaming all it on the media them for “spreading gossip”.

Bounty Killer, Mavado‘s previous boss, also took it to social media saying that he was happy Mavado wasn’t armed and told his former protege to protect his neck.

The story is taking the dancehall community by storm with social media buzzing like crazy for all the twists and shadows of the events.

This is not the first time that Gully star Mavado has troubles with the law. Mavado has been previously arrested and freed, few times, but he was always able to prove police wrong.

If this time, another crucial dancehall artist is involved in something that could take him away from the music scene, like Kartel, Buju Banton, Ninja Man and even Sparta before him, what’s Jamaican dancehall music destined to become, without its main voices?

Stay tuned for updates on this crazy story with the outcome still to be written.
