Tommy Lee Sparta walked finally out of jail after a judge ordered his immediate release.

Tommy Lee Sparta, real name Leroy Russell, has been in police custody for almost more than a week now but he was never charged with any crime.

Last week he changed attorney, hiring Tom Tavares-Finson, which is also Vybz Kartel’s main lawyer and another lawyer, Donahue Martin. They both went to court in Montego Bay to have the dancehall gothic artist released when finally a judge ruled that Sparta should be released by today (May 29).

In the past days an embarrassing picture of Tommy Lee Sparta in jail, in his underwear with his arms linked behind went viral, with some saying the dancehall gothic deejay was crying.

The Uncle Demon’s legal team is obviously upset over that photo that was leaked online by police officers to try to humiliate the artist. The photo shows Tommy Lee Sparta standing inside the police station wearing only his boxers.

Tommy Lee’s lawyers will be writing to the commissioner of police to investigate the photo and discipline the police officer(s) behind it.

“I find it very unprofessional, and we do intend to write to the relevant authorities, in particular, the commissioner of police, to ascertain why is it that this is being done while somebody is a guest of the State or in custody,” his legal said.

CURRENTLY, IN 2021, SPARTA HAS BEEN DETAINED AND SENTENCED TO 5 YEARS FOR TWO DIFFERENT COUNTS, HE WILL HOWEVER REGAIN FREEDOM IN 3 YEARS.

Tommy Lee Sparta was arrested at an ATM in St. Andrew early Sunday morning and was transferred to Montego Bay for questioning. A judge ordered the police department to release the entertainer or charge him with a crime. While they say they intend to charge him he was not charged of ANY crime.

The police department went to court on Tuesday in an attempt to ask the judge to hold Tommy Lee longer in their custody, but St James Parish Judge Sandria Wong Small denied the request. Jamaican police try to detain Sparta for a prolonged period of time under the state of emergency in St. James, but his lawyers filed a application and the judge agreed with them and ordered his immediate release.

A number of supporters of the dancehall star  went in Montego Bay, outside the Freeport’s police station calling for the release of the famed deejay who hails from Flanker.

Tommy Lee has denied all the allegations and police did not charged him with any crime. The deejay says they are trying to set him up and charge him with crimes that he has nothing to do with in attempt to ruin his career.

Still, the police high command in St. James insists that Tommy Lee is one of the most notorious gangsters in the parish and linked to some recent murders. The dancehall artist’s management will be releasing a statement shortly.
