Jamaican Dancehall sensation Shenseea dropped her sophomore album, Never Gets Late Here, this past Friday May 24.
The project already debuted at No. 1 on the iTunes Reggae Chart. The title reflects her belief that it’s never too late to achieve your dreams, a message of inspiration the vibrant Jamaican superstar wants to deliver to her fans through her music.
The dancehall diva strives for timelessness: “That’s how magic happens.” Shensi has been working on this project for quite some time and from the huge positive response, her listeners love it!
Shenseea’s “Never Gets Late Here” new album features 14 tracks including the leading hit with Masicka & Di Genius “Hit & Run” and several guests appearances as Wizkid, Coi Leray, Masicka, Di Genius, and even international pop star Anitta!
Her smashing hit “Hit & Run” totalized more than 53 millions views in 4 months and dominated dancehall charts in Jamaica and abroad.

The dancehall star already hosted an album signing event on Friday in Brooklyn, NY, as well as in Miami, as fans gathered to get their hands on signed physical copies of the project.

Shenseea, born Chinsea Lee on October 1, 1996, is a prominent Jamaican dancehall artist and singer. Rising to fame in the mid-2010s, she quickly became known for her energetic performances and catchy songs, blending traditional dancehall rhythms with contemporary sounds. Since her debut in the Vybz Kartel’s hit “Loodi” that garnered significant attention and established her as a force in the dancehall scene her career has been on the rise.
She has collaborated with numerous international artists since, including Sean Paul, Christina Aguilera, Kanye West and Tyga.
Her feature on Kanye West’s 2021 album “Donda” on the tracks “Pure Souls” and “Ok Ok Pt 2” further elevated her global profile. Some of her popular tracks include “Blessed” featuring Tyga, “ShenYeng Anthem,” and “Side Chick.”
Despite being still young Shensii already raked up some important awards and recognition: receiving several accolades, including the 2020 MOBO Award for Best Reggae Act and multiple local awards in Jamaica.
