Incarcerated Worl’ Boss Vybz Kartel, real name Adidja Palmer, released a new smashing hit single, titled “Giant”, featuring also 6ixx Boss Squash, produced by Hemton Music.
Vybz Kartel and Squash are not new to collaborations, since they already recorded several certified bangers together as “Beat Dem Bad”, “Streets”, “Moon Walk” and “Giant” just goes and adds on to the list of great tunes these two Jamaican artists voiced on together.
Vybz Kartel has now been behind bars for more than 10 years and he is still awaiting for his UK Privy Council Appeal final verdict to appeal the 30 plus years conviction for the murder of Clive Lizard Williams.
According to reports from the Jamaican press, recently, Kartel has drawn the attention of Joyce Stone, Deputy Commissioner of Corrections for Jamaica and she previously stated that Vybz Kartel is an appellant and thus not allowed to participate in the production of music. This, however, has not seemed to deter him and music producers from pleasing fans with new music.
During his career, that has spanned for over two decades, Kartel launched to stardom several recording artists like Popcaan, Tommy Lee Sparta, Shenseea, Jah Vinci, Blak Ryno, Gaza Slim, Gaza Kim, Gaza Tussan and many more including his own sons Likkle Addi and Likke Vybz aka Team Different, formerly known as PG13.
Vybz Kartel also known as Worl’ Boss is a very prolific and versatile artist, a deejay, a song writer, considered the best lyricist in Jamaica, for his ability to be a story teller like few others, and also an entrepreneur, and proud father.
Despite the lengthy incarceration Vybz Kartel still releases more than at least 40 new songs every year, collecting awards and millions of streams , with several songs becoming certified gold bangers, as for the anthem “Fever”.
Throughout his legendary career he toured in USA and Europe, and voiced over 900 riddims world wide from different music producers with his music being remixed and sampled by different deejays and producers.
His latest music single “Giant” ft Squash is another great new song from the King of Dancehall music. The newest track explains how hard it is takes to build a street reputation and becoming strong enough to maintain That position. Some of the lines are epic “Giant, ring full a science, ghetto yute nuh stop dial”, “Buss it ina any weather, Sivva a mi bad bredda”.
