Noisey Jamaica aired the first video episode on youtube of their new dancehall series just days ago, the series focused on the Gaza Youths & Vybz Kartel, watch the first episode here, if you missed it.

The second episode is focused on a young Jamaican recording artist Popcaan, former Gaza member of Kartel’s Portmore Empire. The young artist has a lot of international attention on him right now.
Following his arrest Vybz Kartel’s disbanded his legendary Portmore Empire collective of artists, since being behind bars he can’t follow and manage their career. Popcaan’s, real name Andre Sutherland, career took off globally between 2011 and 2012 and Poppi has since carved a name for himself in music history. Of course Noisey Jamaica wanted to feature this uprising talent in their web series about Jamaica and dancehall.
This new web episode of Noisey Jamaica follows Popcaan through segments of his daily routines including rehearsing for Sting and his birthday party at Quad nightclub in Kingston. Popcaan fans will love the video that includes also Emperor Shabba Ranks and other dancehall stars celebrating the Hotskull. ( everybody comes together when Popcaan sings !!!)
