Jamaican Reggae Dancehall artist Vybz Kartel, real name Adidja Palmer, aka World Boss, currently incarcerated, appeared before the court again this morning.
Currently incarcerated for alleged double murders, Vybz Kartel‘s case was shifted to another judge and the latest updates are that he will go on trial on October 29 for the Barrington ‘Bossy’ Burton‘s case and again he and his four co-accused will appear before the court on November 5th, in relation to the murder of Clive ‘Lizard’ Williams.
Vybz Kartel has been in custody since the end of September of the last year. [2011]
He has received bail in relation to the Burton’s case, but he cannot take up the bond since he has been remanded in connection with the murder of Williams.
A bail application was expected to be made today but Valerie Neita-Robertson, Kartel ‘s lawyer, said she will make the bail application sometime between the two trial dates.
Vybz Kartel’s arrest has left his fans and the dancehall community in a state of shock, the founder of Gaza Portmore Empire is the most prevalent and prolific artist in Jamaican dancehall music and thanks to a lot of pre-recorded material while absent from the music scenes from more than an year, his music doesn’t know any barriers.
