Jamaican Dancehall artist Elephant Man, real name Oneil Bryan, has been charged with rape and grievous assault.
According to reports, Elephant Man is now being questioned by Detectives from the Centre for Investigation of Sexual Offenses and child abuse (CISOCA).
Detectives from CISOCA stated that the DJ was being questioned in relation to a number of sexual-based allegations.
So far, the Police have stated that they can provide no further details on this case as investigations are still ongoing. This is not Elephant Man‘s first run-in with the law.
He was arrested last year for electricity theft. Elephant Man is expected to appear in the Half-Way-Tree Resident Magistrate’s Court today to answer charges of grievous sexual assault and rape.
The popular Jamaican artist was arrested at his St Andrew home on Monday after a woman filed a police report alleging that she was sexually assaulted by him.
