Sting, the biggest one night Reggae Show On Earth – From Then Till Now, went down last night in Jamaica and was also shut down earlier than usual by police, which made the patrons upset with several groups of people throwing bottles toward the legendary stage in the early morning hours.
The music was still good, but too many were the artists missing this year, from War Lord Bounty Killer, Mavado, Alkaline, and Vybz Kartel and Buju Banton, both still incarcerated.
Sting line up this year was filled with classics but did not impress most of the hardcore dancehall fans.
Without a clash this year Sting lacked to impress the youngest generations and while it boasted a classic line up of old school artists it missed to sting and without the Clashes it lost a lot of its charm and people are still wondering “What happened to Boxing Day?.”
