First was Popcaan, now Tommy Lee Sparta. There may be some more troubles coming up in Vybz Kartel’s Jamaican Gaza Camp known as Portmore Empire.
This time the controversy is between Vybz Kartel and the artist he signed last in his camp, Tommy Lee Sparta, who has in the latest months grown in popularity and always proclaimed is loyalty to the World Boss.
Apparently there’s a text message that is said to have been sent through Vanessa ‘Gaza Slim’ Saddler to journalist Anthony Miller of the popular Jamaican music programm, ER, that brings up some issues also between Vybz Kartel & Tommy Lee Sparta.
The text allegedly questioned the loyalty of the remaining members of his camp, after Kartel himself disbanded the Portmore Empire few months ago with a statement from jail.
“No animosity but within a week of my arrest, they started giving other people managerial and booking positions. But where were these people when I was building their careers? When I was investing time and money to transform them from nobody to somebody? They are opportunists and fake,” the text stated. There’s more ”The only two loyal people are Slim and Sheba (the girls)”.
It appears that Tommy Lee was interviewed by Anthony Miller regarding the text and its content, that questions his loyalty to World Boss Vybz Kartel. Apparently, when questioned about it, Tommy Lee Sparta clears that he will not be leaving Gaza anytime soon, no matter what was stated in the text about his loyalty.
“Mi born Gaza, mi live Gaza and mi ah go die Gaza,” he reportedly said during the taped interview which is expected to be aired tonight on TVJ. Let’s watch and see.
