This year’s Edition of Jamaica Youth View Awards attracted a big crowd of dancehall lovers, fans and artists.

The National Indoor Sports Complex in Kingston was packed with the biggest names in the industry, this past Saturday night, for the 6th staging of the annual Jamaican awards show. It was a great night for Jamaican music and entertainment!

Dancehall artist Konshens took home a lot of prizes this year including: Favorite Local Male Artist, beating out big names competing with his, like Vybz Kartel and Tommy Lee Sparta.

Konshens also won Favorite Collaboration for his single – Siddung – featuring his brother Darrio. 

Female dancehall star Tifa also won the same award for the female category, she won HOT ,YOUNG AND HYPE category and FEMALE FASHION ICON. 

Even if now he has been behind bars for over a year and half was World Boss Vybz Kartel that won the night’s biggest award: Male Artist of the Year.

The award was given to Amelia ‘Milk’ Sewell, that fans of Vybz Kartel already met in Teacha’s Pet, she was Teacha’s assistant then and currently Gaza Slim’s manager, she took the award for Vybz Kartel.
