Yesterday was the official release day, digital and physical – on vinyl, of Jamaican dancehall star Vybz Kartel’s album “Kingston’s Story Deluxe Edition” by Mixpak and Vice Records. You can stream the full album clicking on the link middle page.
The Deluxe Edition of “Kingston’s Story”produced by New York based music producer Dre Skull for Mixpak Records, includes a couple of extra bonus tracks that weren’t released yet, like “Money” and “Good Pussy.“
The official video for the single “My Crew” debuted yesterday and it’s already going viral.
The video was filmed in the Vyzb Kartel’s Gaza headquarters: Portmore in Kingston, Jamaica and since the World Boss is still in jail “My Crew” portrays members and affiliates of di Gaza City, representing for their leader.
The video was realized on a super tight budget by Danilo Parra and Andy Capper, Vice Global Editor and also the man behind he forthcoming Vice Films / Snoopadelic Films – Reincarnated, Snoop Dogg Lion documentary that will premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival on Sept. 7, just to mention one of his latest projects.
Andy Capper and Danilo Parra shot this video in and around the Portmore area of Kingston, Jamaica, which Vybz Kartel has named “Gaza City.” For a grand budget of $200, the video stars members of Kartel’s Gaza Crew, comprised of young musicians and other local residents.
