Stream one of the most unexpected cross‑genre singles of the year : “Crazy”, a collaborative track bringing together three distinct voices from reggae, hip‑hop, and R&B.
The joint “Crazy” — dropped on February 21, 2025 — is one of the most talked‑about new singles of that year, pairing veteran MC Busta Rhymes, R&B legend Akon, and dancehall heavy weight Vybz Kartel on the same track, followed shortly by the music video debut.
The track, just released via The Conglomerate / Hitmaker Music Group / Hitmaker Distro it’s already generating a lot of online heat thanks to its blend of hip‑hop bounce and dancehall rhythm pairing Busta Rhymes’ rapid lyricism with Akon’s melodic hooks and Vybz Kartel’s special delivery.

The single blends dancehall rhythms with hip‑hop energy, setting a backdrop where each artist stakes out his creative space — Akon commanding the chorus, Busta Rhymes tearing through his verse with seasoned agility, and Kartel delivering grit and swagger that nods to his recent life shift after a long legal ordeal.

The visuals weave together luxury and legend: lavish scenes with Kartel, Busta and Akon, mixed with bar/club shots, and a reflective segment featuring Vybz Kartel delivering his verse against a stark, white room backdrop. This video remarks Addi’s triumphant return, particularly spotlighting his journey — from years in confinement to reclaiming his voice on the world’s stage.
It marks – for now – one of Kartel’s first major international features following his legal release and return to wide‑scale performance activity. It unites artists across genres at a moment where dancehall is increasingly interacting with mainstream rap and R&B audiences. Kartel celebrated with the ViKing Deluxe 10 Years Anniversary album, featuring his viral God Is The Greatest music video release, and Str8 Vybz Riddim.
What makes Crazy stand out isn’t just the big names — it’s the vibe and the story they’re telling. Kartel’s verse hits hard, coming back strong after time away, flipping “crazy” between flex and comeback energy. Busta Rhymes spits fire like only he can, while Akon’s hook locks it all together, making the track stick in your head. Either way this song is already a classic!
Busta Rhymes and Vybz Kartel dropped several collaborations together and have been friends for quite some time, as we witness during the year: Busta spoke out in favor of Vybz Kartel’s freedom in several interviews while Kartel was still incarcerating, advocating for him and supporting him flying to Jamaica to attend the start of Vybz Kartel’s trial.
The list of collaboration between Vybz Kartel and Busta Rhymes includes Girlfriend ft Tory Lanez, Busta Rhymes Vybz Kartel Twerk It, Busta Rhymes ft T-Pain & Vybz Kartel You Already Know, Busta Rhymes Vybz Kartel The Don & The Boss,
Apart from Vybz Kartel, Busta has been dropping cross collaboration with other artists from his native Jamaica, Bulletproof Skin with Skillibeng and The Only Man She Wants Remix with Popcaan and another epic collaboration with Jamaica’s Emperor Shabba Ranks, just to mention a few more.
