Let’s talk again about Jamaican recording dancehall artist Dotta Coppa.

The Jamaican recording artist, another of those young, raw, mad talents musically born in the Gaza, has been working hard lately in the studio booth and has released a bunch of hot new singles, since the launch of his mixtape “Coppa Mi Name”, with Prince Villa and Foxlink Productions at the beginning of the year.

Coppa was recently under fire and was dissed for his complexion in a clash with artist first born that, If I’m correct, reached round five or six now and is already being defined one of the baddest clash in years.

Talking about baddest, listen below to a very rare song, an hardcore dancehall tune, a classic gun tune or bad man tune, featuring Vybz Kartel and Dotta Coppa, titled “Chrome A Spit” voiced on Boxing Day Riddim produced by Notnice Records! One of the best ever made war tune! Listen up playing it below.

Coppa is not new to lyrical wars. He never started one first. His name get called out and he just answers.

The first time a feud erupted was with G-Staar: Coppa destroyed his adversary and one of his counteraction song went quickly viral on youtube. If you are into these “war /gangsta tunes” this one is a tuuuune and if you missed  it before – press play now, it’s really a mad thing.

Shortly after that another artist, Chamelion, wanted to confront him and called his name in a song and Coppa didn’t let that go neither, he addressed the issues in a series of counteraction tunes with the recent  ‘Dem Nuh Bravery’ being one of the latest on the Chamelion Diss.

In the following months with Coppa focus in the studio, creating new positive lyrics  for the youths,  a new unaspected beef was lurking behind a very dark shadow: first born released a hate song on youtube jumping in on the Coppa Chamelion’s war. Apparently first born has a diss song against everybody and he dissed even Kiprich and Yellow Man, but nobody ever paid attention or replied him except Dotta Coppa.

Coppa answered.

The clash got heated with first born attacking Coppa out of the blue and rhyming crazy bad mind things about Coppa’s being albino and even went as low as to bring Yellow Man into the war. These things I don’t rate and I had to let some time pass by because I was pretty heated up about this whole clash.

Coppa is  a Good Likkle Youth that went through a lot and I couldn’t believe that in 2012 I would have heard lyrics of racial discrimination from one artist to another …So superficial, so coward, even if it was comedy – me nuh rate it. Is the dude out of rhymes ?Out of content? Out of contest? No matter how good you can rhyme or flow the message is Key. The righteous Youths always know what time it is.

So no matter what, Dotta Coppa is ANYWAY the winner of this clash and he was even without taking the disturbance to answer.

Coppa’s latest counteraction single, titled “**** Mouth”, addressing the diss  took my day and my schedule away. Because there’s something so special, so mad, so nice, so sick about the flow, about the lyrics, about how fresh and genuine Coppa rides the riddim and delivers, that won’t leave you indifferent neither.  Coppa “**** Mouth” is Produced by Kas Exodus and Young Merciinary Music.

Marlon Morsby aka Dotta Coppa is one of a kind. He has deep lyrics, a huge catalog of tunes, and not just war tunes.

He has his own style and  is been consistently delivering tunes on tunes and deserves more attention from the industry.

As with Popcaan and Tommy Lee, there’s something unique and special about this young Lion and when other artists try to test him, he is ready. He has  many notches on his belt.

As much as I like and rate Popcaan and Tommy Lee it doesn’t appear to me these other young stars clashed nobody yet. Popcaan never brought further his lyrical clash with Demarco but the type of diss was way lighter!

Coppa Mi Name” his latest mixtape, was well received by his global fans and well reviewed in several different media outlets including the Mixtape Monday’s column from the homeys at Largeup.com – and since then Coppa worked harder and put out more songs .A collaboration with The Rizzing – Far From Dem, was followed by a new weed anthem, a dance floor banger and more gangsta tunes.

Dotta Coppa didn’t lose his focus, his elevation, his meditation. Even in his counteractions he kept the higher road. It’ s a matter of style. Believe me when me seh it’s soon Dotta Coppa’s time fi shine! Boom!
