Gaza fans World wide are already familiar with the name Merital Family, a reggae/dancehall group from Montego Bay Jamaica, that were once part of Vybz Kartel’s former Portmore Empire, and released several catchy hit songs.
After some issues with Vybz Kartel, concerning some music and money credits, they went separate ways fromWorl’ Boss and the Gaza Empire.
Once they left Adidja’s camp their musical career faded away and while one member of the band, Corey Edwards Merital, was shot and killed in their hometown, another member of the trio, known as Kynale Merital, was arrested on some drug charges and jailed in USA for few years.
The Jamaican artist was released after spending three years behind bars in USA and returned back to his homeland Jamaica, just last week, finally free. Stay tuned to know his plans to return to his music career.
He spoke to the Jamaican press about the pain of loosing his friend and how he’s trying to rebuild his musical career.
