“It has come to our attention that there are several rumours being circulated about Adidja Palmer, better known as Vybz Kartel, regarding a stabbing incident at the Horizon Adult Remand Centre. These rumours are false,” he said. “No such incident has been reported. No records of a fight in which he was involved, has been reported,” an officer at the Remand Centre confirmed Thursday.

Kartel’s business partner Michael Dawson also said that unscrupulous individuals have been using Vybz Kartel’s name in an attempt to scam money from the public.
He said that scammers have been contacting other artists and fans claiming that Kartel needed contributions for his lawyers’ fees, something not true and that already Vybz Kartel‘s wife, in a statement sent here to missgaza site from Adidjaheim Records last year, says clearly the Kartel doesn’t need a found raising.
It was reported earlier this week that scammers were contacting people via Blackberry Messenger claiming to be Vybz Kartel and asking for money.
“We believe that these rumours were created to further attempt to defame Mr Palmer and frustrate his family and close associates,” he said. “Remedy will be sought to the full extent of the law,” Dawson added.
