Incarcerated Jamaican star Shawn Storm may be behind bars, but and as his mentor, World Boss Vybz Kartel, cannot be silenced.
Shawn Storm has been having so far a great musical year, delivering some crazy hits like “Baby” voiced over ‘Tropical Bubble Riddim’, click here to listen, ‘Anyweh’ voiced over One Don Riddim, click here to download it, and his latest ‘Loyalty,’ voiced on Super Hero Riddim, which is going viral among the Gaza fans and dancehall fans for the genuine heartfelt lyrics and the great delivery.
Shawn Storm, real name Shawn Campbell, has been sentenced to 25 years before parole in the Lizard’s murder case and, he has been awaiting for the Appeal-s trial verdict for more than one whole year now, together with his co-accused.
Today his latest project, the ‘SuperHero Riddim got released in full under Storm’s own imprinting Kwashawna Records.
The compilation mix, which is now available worldwide, features some of the biggest names on the dancehall scene, starting from World Boss Vybz Kartel and including Chronic Law, Sikka Rhymes, Lisa Hyper, and the big Gaza Anthem ‘Loyalty’ from Shawn Storm himself.
Speaking on behalf of Shawn Storm, Gaza member and spokesperson Sikka Rhymes said the project is expected to wrap up what he described as a ‘#Gaza summer’.
“Gaza start the summer with a bang and so we are ending it with a bang. This rhythm will lead out the school season, going right into winter and beyond,” he said, adding that Shawn Storm was pleased with the project. “The compilation is released under Shawn’s label (Kwashawna Records) which, is, of course, dedicated to his daughter; so he is very proud. Right now, the Gaza is just about good music. We a leave all negative vibes in the dust.”
The Super Hero riddim is currently being distributed by veteran music executive Johnny Wonder.
