The Jamaican dancehall superstar, incarcerated since the end of September 2011, real name Adidja Azim Palmer, has been awaiting to appear before the court for quite some time now.

According to Tavares-Finson, the prosecutor who has the case file did not turn up at the trial which was scheduled to begin Monday morning in the Home Circuit Court. As a result the matter was rescheduled for tomorrow Tuesday July 9.

Adidja Palmer will face trial for the murder of Barrington ‘Bossie’ Bryan, who was reportedly shot dead while standing among a group of people in Gregory Park, St Catherine on July 2011.

Lenburgh McDonald and Nigel Thompson are also charged along with Palmer for Bryan’s murder. Meanwhile, attorneys representing McDonald and Thompson this morning applied for bail for their clients and the judge is to rule on the application tomorrow, Tuesday, July 9.

As for today all three accused were subsequently remanded into custody.
