Floyd’s Pelican Bar, Parottee Bay

Blue Lagoon, Portland
Made famous in the popular 1990 movie with the same name starring super young actors Brooke Shields and Christopher Atkins, and telling the story of a couple of teenagers that get stranded alone for many years at Blue Lagoonbefore getting rescued, the movie is a naturalistic love story, that created some scandal when it came out.
Located in Portland nearby Port Antonio, Blue Lagoon is one of Jamaica’s and the world most beautiful locations, and one of the best place for a freshwater dip in the island with a 180ft-deep into an extinct volcano, surrounded by super lush vegetation.
It’s a different experience to swim in it because the cool freshwater river springs meet the warm seawater.
While very beautiful, once in the water the whole feeling of the place is different! It feels a bit dangerous for the water currents!
James Bond Beach
Not too far from Blue Lagoon via boat, also known as Laughing Waters Beach and Roaring River Beach, sits James Bond Beach.
The beach is located on a small peninsula at Oracabessa Bay, on Jamaica’s North Coast.
James Bond Beach is named after the shooting of the film of the same name about Super 007 Agent James Bond.

Frenchman’s Cove, Portland
Located just east of Drapers near Port Antonio, Frenchman’s Cove is where water from the Blue Mountains river flows into the Caribbean Sea.
The sea and river combo are magical, made more dramatic with the canopy of tropical greenery and white-sand beach.

Port Royale
One of the oldest and most historic regions of the country, Port Royal is a village located at the end of the Palisadoes, at the mouth of Kingston Harbour, in southeastern Jamaica.
Commonly referred to as “the wickedest city on earth” it will bring to your mind history of pirates, naval conquests, looting, riches, destruction and devastation, because of its intriguing and turbulent history.Back in the day it was considered the virtual capital of Jamaica.
Once considered the most important trading post in the New World, at the height of its power, on June 7, 1692, Port Royal was destroyed by an earthquake with over two thirds of the town sank into the sea.
Plagued by fires and hurricanes it was never restored to its former glory remaining a small fishing village today.
The Underwater City of Port Royal has been put in a list to be considered Unesco World Heritage.
