Catch up with Reggae artist PERFECT Giddimani, he is about more than music these days.

The man who created a buzz six years ago with the song “Hand Cart Bwoy” is now pushing “Perfect Papers”, material for handmade cigarettes.




Perfect Giddimani has also got involved in the Southern California skateboard community as producer of Perfect Giddimani Skateboards, he was also recently featured & dubbed on the Jamaican Observer as “Perfect Entrepreneur”.

Giddimani was smart enough to realize that reggae/dancehall music and skateboarding are linked, a lot of skaters enjoy skating while listening to some Caribbean music, so he combined the two things.

In his own words:

“There are a lot of skateboarders who love reggae music and support us as artistes, so why not combine the two?”

asked the artist, who spends much of his time between Miami and California.

Musically, he is working on his latest album, which is being produced by Sam Gilly — drummer and band leader for the Austrian band, House of Riddim. It will be released in 2013.

Born Greg Rose in Bamboo, St Ann, Perfect Giddimani’s appreciation for music came from his father who owned juke boxes. 

After leaving York Castle High School, the artist moved to Kingston for a music career, hanging out at studios such as King Jammys and ArrowsBy 2006, he got the breakthrough with the humorous tune Hand Cart Bwoy.

Reggae artist Perfect Giddimani Biography


Perfect Giddimani cut his first tune as Little Ninja, before settling on his current stage name due to his perfectionism as a recording artist.

He began deejaying in the sound system Trend Setter from Bamboo, where he grew and recorded his first dub plates. In the late 90s he often had to go to Kingston to make his name and record new music or voice on different jugglings.

The first song that really began making his name was ‘Lock Me Up’ in 2004 for Courtney MacIntosh from Irie FM but he was really revealed with ‘Handcart Bwoy‘ in 2005.

He released his first album Giddimani next year including many of his first singles. After releasing many of his 7, Austrian label Irievibrations released his second album “Born Dead With Life” in 2008.

The rest it’s history since this prolific and talented Jamaican Reggae artist is still entertaining us to this day!
