As every year a lot of emotions go down during the staging of one of Jamaica’s biggest live show, and this year edition of Sting 30 was not exception.

To make things more adventurous a last minute Clash between last year’s champion, dancehall artist Kiprich, and former Gaza member, Blak Ryno Di Stinger, was announced and what happened after id the Blak Ryno won this year Sting Clash! 

STING CLASH CHAMPION Kiprich was dethroned as the clash king early Friday morning at the 30th anniversary of Sting. 

Former Portmore Empire artist Blak Ryno surprised the crowd inside the Jamworld complex as he left Kiprich almost speechless.

Minutes before Ryno‘s entrance Kiprich seemed confident of winning the US$30,000 up for grabs, urging DJ Mad Cobra to join him onstage for a lyrical showdown.

But it was Ryno that took on the challenge. “A joke suppmn, is wa dis dem send up here,” Kiprich declared as the crowd roared with excitement.

For approximatly seven minutes Kiprich had the advantage as he free styled about Ryno and Popcaan’s war at last year’s Sting referring to Ryno as “Vybz Kartel’s beating stick”.

However Ryno fired back with a string of rhymes leaving Kiprich dumbstruck as the crowd booed and clapped him off stage. 

Kiprich later returned onstage to congratulate his victorious rival who received the cash and a new Sting clash champion belt.

It was just last year that Ryno was banned from Sting’s stage following his invasion of Popcaan’s live performance.

Since he was not invited to join Poppi‘s show and following some past rust among the two artists,  a quick physical altercation  erupted, with Popcaan  getting very nervous and punching his former friend and Gaza member Ryno.

Popcaan was really agitated and started deejaying he loved Kartel the most and then suddenly left Sting‘s stage and stopped his perfomance, while Ryno was boxed by Laing‘s security and banned.

The whole episode was tragic comic and became legendary with fans and dj doing remixes of the incident. Click here to listen to the remix and watch video of that incident.

Despite the circumstances Black Ryno had a chance to come back and win the clash and cash prize, which was a surprise t0 most, Kiprich included.
