It’s been reported that Jamaican Reggae Dancehall superstar Busy Signal, arrested and detained in USA, should be released in the next weeks.
Busy Signal’s lawyer KD Knight, part of the artist’s legal team that also includes Charles ‘Advoket’ Ganga-Singh, told the Jamaican Observer that he will be released shortly, and other sources confirmed the released date is aspected to be for November 21.
Busy Signal pleaded to a charge of absconding in a Minnesota court this summer after he was arrested at the Norman Manley International Airport in Kingston and extradited to the United States a month after.

This past September 21, Busy Signal, born Glendale Gordon, was fined $30,000 and sentenced to six months in prison by Minnesota State District Court Judge Donovan W. Frank for absconding bail related to drug trafficking charges brought against him 10 years ago.
At the time of his sentencing back in September, Gordon had already served four months — a month in Kingston’s General Penitentiary and three months in Minnesota’s Sherbourne County Jail and judge Donovan W. Frank counted that as time served.
