Gully God Mavado is still a wanted man by the Jamaican police, that could still charge the dancehall star with assault.
Jamaican dancehall star Mavado has been hitting the music studio with music producer Rvssian and his friend, rapper King Sosa, ignoring police warning to turn himself in following some murders in Cassava Piece, read the full story here.
The major developments on the case are that Mavado’s 16 years old teenager son Dantay Brooks has been detained and is facing now some serious accusation of murder charges and he is still behind bars, joined by his cousin recording artist Chase Cross, Mavado‘s nephew, who is charged instead with assault.
Police said that Mavado’s minor son had been charged in connection with the murder of Lorenzo Thomas, 23, popularly known as ‘Chulups’ and ‘Israel’, who was shot and killed and his body set on fire by a group of armed men who forced their way into his home couple of weeks ago.
The police have also charged Dantay with conspiracy to murder, arson, shooting with intent as well as illegal possession of firearm and ammunition. Mavado’s son was no show in court this past Monday.
It has been now a couple of weeks since police has been calling for Mavado to turn himself in but Mr David Brooks, Mavado real name, is still at large, avoiding Jamaica and staying in Florida where is full filling some contractual obligation and recording new music.
This week the Cassava Piece singjay was spotted in the studio with Rvssian, one of the top Vybz Kartel‘s producers. Mavado is working on a collaboration with rapper King Kosa who is also close friends with the Head Concussion producer.
While Mavado expressed priorly his will to go back to Jamaica and face questioning, for now, even with the severe accusations against his son, he is getting ready to drop some new music and this will be the first time the Gully side deejay will be working with Rvssian, who is regarded as one of the top producers in dancehall music, reggaton and soca.
