There is a short video circulating since yesterday with Busta Rhymes and Kanye West talking on the phone to Gaza General Vybz Kartel.
This past Thursday night, Busta Rhymes, who is of Jamaican origins, shared news that Kanye West was on the phone with the Teacha!

Busta Rhymes link with Addi goes way back, he has been recording music with Kartel since more than a decade ago, we were one of the first and few outlets to report on their studio session here, back in 2010.
Busta Rhymes has never been shy of showing his support for of Vybz Kartel since the artist’s incarceration, attending his trial in Jamaica and releasing several singles with the incarcerated dancehall superstar, with “Don & The Boss” being the latest of a list that includes also “Girlfriend” Ft Tory Lanez, and even a tune with Kartel, Busta & T-Pain, visiting him in jail and always advocating for his freedom.
In the short video shared on Thursday, Busta is walking down a street with with Kanye West. Kanye is speaking on a phone, laughing and being at ease.
While Kanye is on the phone, Busta Rhymes jokes to him asking to speak patois while on the phone with Vybz Kartel. “Kanye me want yuh inna Jamaican accent,” Busta Rhymes is heard saying, while Kanye laughs and continues speaking on.
Kanye West is also a big fan of dancehall music and has already worked with several dancehall acts and sampled several classics in the genre. In his latest and popular 2021 album, Donda, he included two collabs with Dancehall sensation Shenseea, launched to stardom by Vybz Kartel’s single “Loodi”.
Is this hint to a possible collaboration between Kanye & Vybz Kartel?
“Coming with some disrespectful Jamaican accents talking to Vybz Kartel… Man, I just wana send you some love bruh… sh*t out here working on this joint,” Kanye says to the Jamaican dancehall GOAT.
