There are several things that come to mind when saying or thinking the name Vybz Kartel, beside the bleaching, the sentence, the tattoos, the controversy…

Vybz Kartel is always relevant, his lyrics and music remarkable, and so much that in the last weeks both Jamaican Dancehall Artist Beenie Man and Aidonia compared themselves to di Gaza General.

Beenie Man went out once again saying he is the King of Dancehall not Vybz Kartel, while Aidonia said he’s at the same level of Vybz Kartel, comparing himself to Addi and doing so both artists indirectly made him even bigger and more relevant. Everybody wants to compete with him and bring up his name and trying to take his crown.

The man has been sitting in a jail cell for 4 years now and still has more songs in Charts and hits songs out that any other dancehall artist, Alkaline included…

You can say a lot of things about Vybz, but you can never say that the man is lazy. There are two main figures dominating Dancehall Music right now, and it’s been like that for the past few years, in Jamaica and internationally, one is Vybz Kartel and the other one is Mavado.

Anyway all this nonsense chat around his name must have made Vybz Kartel sick to his stomach, so he was taken to the University Hospital on Tuesday afternoon for an emergency check, after Addi complained about feeling some pain at his stomach.

Hopefully Addi feels already better and it’s nothing too serious.
